Bu ama la yüksek lisans ve doktora tezleri ile alan n nemli süreli yay nlar olan Türk Kütüphaneciler Derne i Bülteni (1952-1986), Türk Kütüphanecili i (1987-2006) ve Bilgi Dünyas (2000-2006) dergilerinde yay mlanan makaleler ara t r lm t r. ncelenen 239 tezin 42’sinde (%17,57) ve 1788 makalenin 44’ünde (%2,4) kullan c lara do rudan veya dolayl olarak yer verildi i saptanm t r. Tezlerin %88’i (42 tez) 1990 sonras nda yap lm t r. erik analizi sonu lar na g re tezlerin %69’unda kullan c lar n bir bilgi merkezi veya sistemiyle ili kilendirildi i; %83’ünde betimleme y nteminin kullan ld ; anketin en s k kullan lan veri toplama tekni i oldu u ve ara t rmalar n akademisyenler üzerinde yo unla t anla lmaktad r. Makalelerde ise 1971 y l na kadar kullan c fakt rünün incelenmedi i, 1980’li y llarda bu konuya g sterilen ilginin nispeten artt , 1990 sonras nda ise ilgili makale say s nda büyük bir art oldu u g rülmektedir. Makalelerde en s k (%40) ara t r lan kullan c grubunun renciler oldu u; a rl kla bilgi okuryazarl ve okuma al kanl konular na de inildi i; betimleme y ntemi ile anket ve g rü me tekniklerinin en s k tercih edilen y ntem ve veri toplama teknikleri oldu u anla lmaktad r.[English Abstract]In this paper, theses and articles on librarianship and information management focusing on users are studied. Masters and PhD theses along with articles published in the most important periodicals of the field, Türk Kütüphaneciler Derne i Bülteni (1952-1986), Türk Kütüphanecili i (1987-2006) and Bilgi Dünyas (2000-2006), are examined. Some 42 out of 239 theses (17.57%) and 44 out of 1788 articles (2.4%) focused on users either directly or indirectly. The majority of such theses (88%) were written after 1990. Content analysis of theses indicates that users have been studied primarily in relation with an information center or system (69%); academicians as a user group was studied most often; survey as a research method was used in 83% of the theses; and, the questionnaire was the most popular data gathering technique. Although no articles emphasizing the users were published before 1971, a growing interest towards the users was detected in 1980s. The number of articles published on the subject significantly increased after 1990.
