A New Steganography Technique Based on Amendment in Blue FactorKeywords: Image , Mean Square Error , Peak Signal to Noise Ratio , Steganography Abstract: In this paper, a new image steganography scheme is proposed which is a kind of spatial domain technique. In the past few years a large number of algorithms for image steganography have been developed. A broad range of embedding algorithms goes from simple Least Significant Bit (LSB) methods to various spread spectrum schemes. J.G. Yu, E.J. Yoon, S.H. Shin and K.Y. Yoo [2008] have proposed a image steganographic technique based on 2k correction and edge detection. In this technique, 1 byte of blue factor of pixels of an image have been replaced with secret bits of text data. Image quality parameters of proposed technique are compared to the other best known image steganographic techniques. Comparison in the present study has been done on the basis of Peak Signal to Noise Ratio and Mean Square Error
