IN FRONT OF THE GATES OF THE EU: A DIFFERENT PERSPPECTIVE FOR CYSTIC FIBROSIS

Cystic fibosis (CF) is one of the most common recessive genetic disease in caucasian population. The improved knowledge about the pathophysiology of the disease and the spectacular advances in the delineation of the genetics of the defect have brought hope that a cure for CF may not be so far away. The paper present a background about perspectives of CF in the begining of a new milenium.
