Analysis of Monopole Antenna by Placing High Impedance Absorber Surface at one SideKeywords: Energy Band Gap (EBG) , High Impedance Surface , Radiation Absorption , Wave suppression Abstract: The Energy Band Gap (EBG) structures and HIS, FSS are generally called as meta-materials and are used in so many ways in antenna applications. These structures are used for enhancing Band width, Radiation and for improving some other antenna parameters but recently there is an idea to use this structure as heat sink Microprocessor applications. Here in this paper we use this EBG structure as an absorbing surface or in the other way we can say it as a reflector surface. By the simulations it is present that how the waves that are propagating in the direction of this structure are absorbed or reflected and the comparison with a normal plane reflector simulated and presented.
