E-Business Study of the Food Industry in Taiwan

The e-business systems have been promoted to manufacturing industries for several years. The achievements benefit not only companies but also their upstream and/or downstream partners. In this paper, five large food companies are studied. The discussions include current encountered problems, proposed strategy, development infrastructure, future business model, and performance indicators. Three levels of connections between a company and its partners are also presented. The objective of this paper is to provide a real case study reference to other food companies for implementing their e-business systems in the future.
