Photoacoustic determination of the thermal diffusivity for thin metallic samplesKeywords: photoacoustic , photothermal , laser Abstract: The ratio of the signals produced in the photoacoustic cell for the front and back illumination of the metallic sample is analyzed. Both the theory and the experiment conducted prove that the slope of the frequency dependence of this ratio gives the measure of the sample’s thermal diffusivity.
