Professionelle Beziehungen sind Arbeitskooperationen, in denen Vertreterinnen und Vertreter von Professionen die Handlungs- und Lebensprobleme von "Laien" bearbeiten. In solchen Beziehungen spielt eine ad quate Verst ndigung zwischen den ProfessionsvertreterInnen und den Laien eine bedeutende Rolle für die Bearbeitung dieser Probleme. Entsprechend kommt auch dem "Verstehen" und der interaktionalen Dokumentation des Verstehens eine herausgehobene Position zu. Mit solchen Verstehensdokumentationen befassen sich die Autoren des hier zu besprechenden Bandes über "Verstehen in professionellen Handlungsfeldern". Sie untersuchen im Bereich der rztInnen-PatientInnen-Kommunikation, der Beratungskommunikation und in organisationsf rmigen Kooperationen in einem Filmset, mit welchen funktionalen Anforderungen Verstehensdokumentationen konfrontiert sind und welche Formen eingesetzt werden. Die konversationsanalytisch orientierten und ethnografisch komplementierten Studien machen auf die Notwendigkeit aufmerksam, die interaktionale Ebene in ihren sozialstrukturellen Kontexten zu untersuchen und deshalb gespr chslinguistische und soziologische Forschung miteinander zu verbinden. Die Ergebnisse sind deshalb nicht nur in linguistischer, sondern auch in soziologischer Hinsicht bedeutsam. They examine the requirements for the documentation of such understanding and the forms of documentation used in the fields of doctor-patient communication, counseling communication, and organizational collaboration on a movie set. Conversation analytic as well as ethnographically complemented studies draw further attention to an examination of the interactional level in its socio-structural context, and to that end the study employs a combination of conversational linguistics and sociological research.
