To understand what thegeographical area for a society is, we mustunderstand and know the place of living of eachcitizen. The education provided in rural areasappears inappropriate to the students that way,because the content and methodology do notmeet the requirements of the reality experiencedby them, thus preventing, no relation to dailypractice. In this perspective, the understandingof environmental issues and learning of literacymapping should be developed and worked withchildren from the original series. Teach studentsthe concepts and spatial information about theenvironmental issue is how to promoteconstruction of procedures to develop thecapacity of children to understand their socialenvironment and make their representation.
