Strategic management competitiveness of a higher educationKeywords: strategic management , SWOT-analysis , information strategy , the university competitiveness Abstract: The article highlights the main areas of strategic development of a university. Perfect educational and social infrastructure will improve the educational and scientific activities of an institution. Providing the educational process with highly-qualified scientific and pedagogical workers will allow to improve the quality of educational programs and will contribute to the final product of universities. Implementation of a flexible specialties system in the educational process, meeting the requirements of the labor market and international quality standards of training will lead to the growth in graduates employment level and competitiveness of the university. The method of SWOT-analysis aimed at proper evaluation of the functioning area of an educational institution is proposed to apply. The factors influencing the consumers of educational services behavior and the factors affecting the possible university entrants’ choice are determined. The information strategy concerning the universities competitiveness is considered.
