This paper aims to introduce the reader to a group of materials that promise to be relevant in the evolution of automotive structures, and probably change the way design elements resistant. It describes the most relevant properties. It justifies the environmental benefits of its implementation. Finally, conclusions are justifying their suitability for multiple applications requiring enhanced security with reduced weight.
