Me a Selimovi ’s Dervi i smrt

Selimovi ’s novel Death and the Dervish (Dervi i smrt, 1966) is a first-person narrative told from the perspective of the main protagonist, Sheikh Nurudin, a dervish who has deliberately removed himself from the activities of society. This distance is shattered, though, by the arrest of his brother. In his attempt to find out the truth, he begins to question his ideology, his life choices and the concept of justice.
