Multi-Beam Radar Search Improvement Via Digital Signal Re-SteeringKeywords: receiving multi-beam , average detection performance , subarray Abstract: This paper studies a method of producing multiple receiving beams by applying re-steering of digital signals exported from subarrays inside the 3dB beam width of the transmitting beam to remedy the loss caused by mismatching between target location and the center of the transmitting beam. This improves the average detection performance inside the 3dB beam width of the transmitting beam, and finally enhances the search performance of Radar. The simulation experiments have verified the validity of the proposed method.
