Development and applications of high performance membrane chromatography (HPMC) are introduced. Base membranes, membrane geometries and separations of biomolecules using high performance affinity membrane chromatography (HPAMC), high performance ion exchange membrane chromatography (HPIEMC) and high performance hydrophobic interaction membrane chromatography (HPHIMC) are reviewed . Enantiomeric separation using HPMC are prospected. Seventy six references are cited.
