This paper describes the abnormal phenomena caused by almost complete block of connective tube of SPL 14 split/splitless sample injector of Shimadzu GC 14A gas chromatograph. It has been pointed out that if oil compounds with high boiling point are analyzed, periodical clean up should be done to remove blocking materials for experimental repeatability and accuracy.
