Abstract:

new method has been developed for the determination of lanthanide meta15 in complex matrices. Selec-tive chelating resins can concentrate transition and lanthaniede metals while eliminating alkali and alkalineearth elements.Then,the selective elimination process proceeds further to remove the bulk quantity of alu-mium and transition metals from the sample matrix, Finally, the concentrated lanthanide metals are sepa-rated by high performance ion chromatography with specific detection. The overall analysis time afetr sampledissolution in approximately 40 mins. The detection limit for La, Ce, Pr, Nd, Sm, Er, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho,Eu, Tm,Yb,and Lu are 13.0,8.0,3.3,6.5,3.3,1.3,1.6,1.3,1.1,0.6,1.3,0.6,1.3and 1.2ng/mL respectively.
