Constraints for Fusion Algorithms in Meta Search Engine Systems

Fusion is one of the main technical problems for running a meta search engine. In this paper, the formal definitions of search engine and meta search engine are given and the potential cases of fusion in meta search engine systems are classified. Based on this classification, the necessary constraints of fusion methods in different fusion cases are described. This provides a reliable foundation for the construction of good fusion algorithms in meta search engine systems.
