Five Glycosides from the Seeds of Litchi chinensis

Abstract:
Five glycosides were isolated from the seeds of Litchi chinensis Sonn.by means of solvent fractionation and multiple chromatography.On the basis of spectral data,they were identified as(-)-pinoresinol 4-O-β-D-glucopyranoside(1),phenylethyl β-D-glucopyranoside(2),ethyl β-D-glucopyranoside(3),ethyl α-D-glucopyranoside(4) and cytidine(5).They were all isolated from litchi seeds for the first time.
