Plant plasma membrane H -ATPase plays important roles in regulation of pH in cells,in enhancement of nutrient uptake and in transportation of assimilates.This paper reviews plant plasma membrane H -ATPase under the following headings: structure,function and molecular machenism,signal transduction events;response of plant plasma membrane H -ATPase to environmental stresss.Future prospects are presented as well.
