A SURVEY OF WIND POWER RESOURCES AND EXPERIMENTAL REPORT ON ELECTRIC POWER PRODUCTION IN JIANGHUA AUTONOMOUS COUNTY OF YAO NATIONALITY
沱江地区风能资源分析及发电应用研究

nalysis and calculations indicate that the wind power resources in trumpitshaped region with low wind velocity in Taohe drainage area of Jianghua Autonomous County of the Yao nationality are rich and valuable enough to be exploited.The exploitation will provide scientific basis for the utilization of wind power in southern Hunan.A "200",watts wind-driven generator has been selectedto experiment in the Taohe River region for a half-year running. Results s4owthat power generated with generators of the like can satisfy demand of electricity for three-time weather observations,three times weather forecasting and adm-inistrative purposes of a county-level meteorological observational bureau, and that the power generated can be used as a supplementary energy supply to themountain region with inadequate or no electric supply.It is' possible and reasonal to believe that days without electricity in so many minority families is cobingto an end.
