EVALUATION OF PRESENT SITUAT10N AND TREND PREDICTION OF CHINA'S FOREST PARKS

Evaluation of present conditions and trend prediction of fores f parks in China reveal the following facts:1)abundancy in resources--there are over 600 tree f' farms-that are of tourist value in the country)2) multiple variety-different types of forests are available on mountains,by waterbodies and seashores,or in suburbs;3) uneven distribution--there are more forests in southwestern part and less in the northeastern area;4) speed of development-so far 255 forest parks have been established under state authorization;and 5) the existing problems unbalanced allocation in profits and shortage of personnel.Prediction of trend of development of forest parks indicates that by the year 2000,more than 500 forest parks will be established with a tourist capacity of one billion person--time in China. Management will get onto the track of standardization.
