ased on experimental observations of soil moisture during growing seasons of 1993 to 1994 in runoff areas of the thin layered sloping land in Luanping, a preliminary study on impact of soil moisture seasonal variations, horizontal variations and different hydrological years on soil moistures was conducted. Meanwhile evaluations on soil moisture efficiency and analyses on soil moisture protection and utilization were made.
