ENERGY SEC URITY AND RESOITRCES INTERNATIONALIZATION OF CHINA

For years, China has made a great effort to build up a national energy supply system rested mainly upon its coal resource. Nevertheless, this country,one of the largest energy consumers and producers in the world, now is confronted with a great challenge of energy supply security on its way to modernization, due to a rapid change in energy consumption, a poorer imaged resource base and a degraded ecological environment. It suggests in thsi paper that three major tasks of energy supply for China in the early of 21 st century be:to pursue a diversified energy supply (or so called internationalized energy supply), to construct a stable strategic oil stockpile system, and to enlarge the domestic source base as much as possible. It also argues that the common practice of global energy supply for both developed and developing countries would benefit a lot not only to China but also to the whole world.
