SUCCESSION AND SILVICULTURE MODEL OF BROAD-LEAVED PINUS KORIENSIS FORESTS IN CHANGBAI MOUNTAIN
长白山阔叶红松林动态及经营管理模型研究

Combining the framework of ZELIG and characteristics of Broad leaved pinus koriensis forests in Changbai area, succession and silviculture model for Broad leaved pinus koriensis in Changbai Mountain is developed. ZELIG.CBA consists of four sub models: growth model simulating annual increment of individual tree in forest; regeneration model simulating annual establishment of the trees of different species; mortality model simulating annual age related and stress related morality; and silviculture model simulating the forest response under different silviculture scenario. According to the results obtained from the examination, the accuracy of the model for the forest growth is more than 95%, as shown by the validation of the ZELIG.CBA model. And the succession from clear cutting site simulation demonstrates that the ZELIG.CBA model is stable for long term simulation. Finally, the selective cutting experiment presents the optical scenario of removal volume for broad leaved pinus koriensis forests is 30%, combining with 30 years rotation.
