INTEGRATED EVALUATION OF WATERLOGGED SOIL FERTILITY: THE CASE OF GAOCHANG FARM IN QIANJIANG CITY, HUBEI PROVINCE

Abstract:
Since there remains a lack of integrated evaluation about the waterlogged soil fertility within scademic debate at present,the main concern of this paper is devoted to such subject.By employing the Gaochang farm in Qianjiang city,Hubei Province,the integrated evaluation of waterlogged soil fertility is studied with 10 nutrient indexes based on factor analysis,correlation analysis and fuzzy mathematic theory.The membership function values are also calculated.The weight coefficients for the fertility indexes are determined by the methods of factor communality and correlation coefficients.Finally,the Integrated Fertility Indexes(IFI)are calculated and the correlativity between IFI of the two methods with corresponding rice yield are statistically tested.The results indicate that the IFI of the two methods are all very significant with grain yield and the integrated evaluation results of soil nutrient indexes can well reflect soil fertility to certain extent.
