ON THE PROBLEMS OF ECONOMIC EVALUATION OF NATURAL RESOURCES

With rapid development of industry, agriculture and transportation, nature protection and rational utilization of natural resources Lave gradually become one of the most important tasks in economy and society of China. To solve the problems of economic evaluation of natural resources aimed at optimizing utilizatiion of resources is a vital task of economic geography and its adjacent subjects. This paper attempts to demonstrate theoretically some problems associated with methodology and methods of economic evaluation of neatural resources. Firstly, the author proposes theoretical basis for the economic evaluation of natural resources. Secondly,the criteria and indexes of economic evaluation of natural resources are discussed. Thirdly, the differential rent and the total output taken as the indexes of economic evaluation of natural resources are analyzed. Finally, some viewpoints on the problem of adequateness of criteria and comprehensive indexes of economic evaluation are put forward.
