POTENTIALITY OF TOURIST RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT IN BAILONG CAVE LANDSCAPE IN YUNNAN PROVINCE
云南白龙洞景区旅游资源潜力探讨

After describing characteristics of tourist resource of Bailong cave landscape, especially its particular cave landscape, it points out Bailong cave is the important and only natural scene that had been explored. By combining the annual variation and variation within the year of visitors with the peak periods when they have happened, it shows that students and employees are the major source of visitors to this landscape. In terms of sustainable development, tourism in this landscape is declining. By comparison with other domestic cave landscape such as Jiuxiang landscape nearby, it suggests that the gap between them lies in that the landscapes are not abundant enough and the tourism potential in Bailong cave has not been exploited. Finally, it concludes that Bailong cave landscape has great potential for tourism development by investigating the landscape in terms of natural and human culture and suggestions to ensure the sustainable development of tourism are provided.
