LEGISLATION AND MANAGEMENT OF NATURAL RESOURCES IN USA

Abstract:
A set of acts and regulations have been established for resources mana gement in America which is centralized for land and water exploitation. Forest a ct, mineral act and animal protection, plant protection as well as environmental rehabilitation constitute resources and environment legislation system. With th e release of environment act in 1969, environmental protection act and environme nt protection agency have played increasingly important role and exerted great i nfluence. America is a country with sharp competition and strict ruled by law.It s resources laws and environment regulations all come from practice and serve pr actice. With elapse of time, resources law of America has been developed and gai ned rich experience. The first land act was released in 1785, earlier than its c onstitution. Land management and legislation provides basis for study. Managemen t and legislation of resources experienced three periods: The Free Enterprises P eriod; The Accomodation Period; and The Environmental Overreach Period. America has high efficiency in environment and resources legislations as well as timely revision of them. Besides national laws, there are state laws and city laws, all of which constitute a legislative network. Now more and more Americans are awar e of applying laws for environmental protection.
