PRESENT STATUS OF NATURAL RESOURCES UTILIZATION AND COUNTERMEASURES IN CHINA

Natural resources are the material basis for human survival and development.In terms of abundancy of natural resources,China is a resources--rich country,but in terms of slenderness per capita possessed,it is a resources--deficit country.Population growth,economic development and resources supply have always been a dominating contradiction.The paper analyzes the principal situation of natural resources in China,the present status of their exploitation and utilization, and raises the strategic ideas on the establishment of resources--saving national economic system as well as seven basic countermeasures.
