Abstract:
The stuudy of natural deformation vestige during the disentombing to the ruins and tumulus is one of the important tasks in inverting or substantiating history and prehistoric deformation records. Recently, the Earthquake Administration cooperates with department of cultural relics and archaeology to explore and investigate Daijiayuan vestige at Huoshan in western Anhui. We found the sand line and sand vein filled in the crack. It may relate with tectonic movement. It shows 2 times of tectonic deformation from the preliminary research, and it shows the characteristic with high rate. They represent 2 earthquake events. It is about equivalent to the later period of Xizhou Dynasty and in the middle-later period of Chunqiu Dynasty in era, the former is larger in scale, with the long axis direction of crack of sand parallel to the direction of the seismic fracture in the near side. This discovery and initial study is the first one about the natural deformation in East China from Xizhou Dynasty to Chunqiu Dynasty.
