Analysis on Present Emission Status of Carbon Dioxide in China

Through summarizing the results of CO2 emission in several projects researching on green house gases emissions in China, emission of CO2 in 1990 in China is collected and improved. We calcu- late the emission from industrial producing process of lime, steel, and electroanalysis aluminum besides producing process of cement in previous research projects. Then the emission of CO2 in 1994 in China is calculated with updated data. The results show that in China the emissions of CO2 in 1990 and 1994 are 2218,9 Tg and 2787.8 Tg respectively which account for 10.2% and 12.7% of the world total CO2 emis- sions in the corresponding years. Emissions of CO2 from energy using and industrial activities increase by various extents. The main emission of CO2, which account for 90% of total emission, is from mineral fuel combustion in energy using. Analyses on the uncertainty of CO2 emissions shows that the potential mitigation of CO2 emission in China exceeds 10%.
