|
Abstract:
Evaluation for sustainable land use has always been research topic of land science and related disciplines. Based on the analysis of connotation and significance of evaluation for sustainable land use, this paper reviews researches abroad concerning evaluation for sustainable land use and advances on evaluation criteria. Furthermore, advances within domestic literatures on evaluation for sustainable land use are summed up as follows: 1) evaluating sustainability of land use in terms of ecological economic social indicators; 2) evaluating sustainability of land use in terms of productivity security protection viability acceptability indicators; 3) evaluating land use in terms of developing level and capability of land sustainable use; 4) evaluating land use in terms of land quality indicators; and 5) other relating researches on evaluation for sustainable land use. In the last, common views and failures of researches on evaluation for sustainable land use are summarized. It argues that the concept of land use sustainability includes not only the sustainability of land use styles in time scale, but also the optimization of land use patterns in space scale. However, traditionally social economic ecological evaluation for sustainable land use, in some degree, can be thought more as the evaluation in temporal scale rather than in spatial scale.
