ON THE PROGRESS OF SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT PROBLEM IN THE WORLD

As an aim and approach of forest resources management, the Sustainable Forest Management (SFM) has been commonly recognized by international society. It is in action which was pushed forward by IPF and consisted of three aspects, i.e., several international processes for the criteria and indicators of SFM, the international and national experiments for SFM and it's criteria and indicators, and the efforts for international certification of timber products. This paper briefs the progress of the above three aspects.
