The paper expounds the importance and purpose of compilation stamdard of forest distribution map of China's Ecosystem Research Network.Meanwhile,the legend system and forest distribution system as well as their relationships with cartography are studied according to standard by taking Dinghu Mountain Research Station of forest ecosystem as an example.
