A Study on Exploitation and utilization of Tideland Resources in Fujian Province
福建省潮间带滩涂资源的开发利用研究

This paper analyses the distribution and the material characteristics of tidelands in Fujian Province, the possibility of enclosing tideland for cultivation, and puts forward some ideas on the exploitation and management of tidelands. With winding coastline and numerious harbors, Fujian Province possesses abundant tideland resources. To enclose tideland for cultivation can not only solve some problems of tidelands but also make use of the advantages of reclamation to develop cultivated land and aquatic breeding, andto realize dynamic equilibrium of cultivated land area. In addition, through land exploitation in other places throughout the province, some counties can get the solution to the problem of shortage of reserve cultivated land resources.
