EVALUATION ON SPATIAL DIFFERENTIA OF REGIONAL SUSTAINABLE LAND USE--THE CASE OF HUANG-HUAI-HAI PLAIN
|
Abstract:
Regional disparity and diversity are the two significant features of land resource from both spatial and temporal scales. To put the sustainable land use research into practice, sustainable land use evaluation should embody the regional diversity and disparity of land resource. This paper intends to evaluate the differentia of land use state among four counties with similar natural conditions in Huang huai hai plain so that the scientific strategy of land use for the counties can be provided. Since land use system is composed of natural, economic and social factors, system theory is adopted in this study. And then the structure, function and mechanism of land use system are analyzed. The results indicate that sustainable utilization of regional land use relies on the coordination between subsystems, far more than on optimization of each subsystem itself. Furthermore, by employing the case of Huang huai hai plain, an index system for land use evaluation that matches well with regional differentiation is presented. And it is also argued that applying distance function to sustainable land use evaluation is scientific and feasible.
