APPLICATION OF SATELLITE REMOTE SENSING TECHNIQUE IN THE SURVEY OF LAND USE IN DUOLUN AREA OF INNER MONGOLIA
卫星遥感技术在内蒙多伦土地利用调查中的应用

Duolun County of Inner Mongolia, located in the west of China, is a typical interleaving area of farming and herding, therefore, the land classification within this region is very particular. Though there has been half century's history of development, the land resource here has not been well investigated. Thus it is necessary to establish comprehensive and precise land resource database within this region. Since satellite remote sensing is a very effective way for land use investigation, this paper introduces application of TM image for investigation and the method for remote sensing thematic drawing on land use. Furthermore, by analyzing the current land use in the Duolun area, land use structure and problems faced in this region are described and then a comprehensive evaluation of land use is presented. This research is expected to provide scientific reference for rational land use, comprehensive planning and regional economic development.
