THEORIES OF WASTE UTILIZATION: PRELIMINARY DISCUSSION
|
Abstract:
A growing amount of literature has been devoted to waste utilization, which is conceived as one of the major ways to transform waste into resources and to conserve resources, as well as to prevent the environment from polluting. Based upon the material circulation theory, the resources renewable theory and the system theory, fundamentals and objective conditions of waste transformation are discussed. It is argued that both resources and waste have the attributes of material or energy, thus there is the inter-transformation relationship between resources and waste, given specific economic and technological conditions. The key of this transformation lies in establishing a recycle system of renewable resources, gathering waste by classification and processing them as industrial manufacturing. Above all, the productions manufactured from the renewable resources should be well put into the social circulation system. After representing the concepts of resources, social resources and renewable resources, by definition, general principles of matter circulation as well as recycle system of renewable resources, with respect to the systematic theory, are explored in this paper.
