The Status Quo of Bio-resources and Management Strategies for Sustainable Eco-tourism of Meiling National Forestry Park in Jiangxi
梅岭国家森林公园生物资源现状及可持续生态旅游的管理对策探讨

In light with current conditions of Meiling National Forestry Park in Jingxi Province of China, this paper discusses the management of natural resources of the park, especially in terms of taking its forest resource as a main attractive factor to develop eco tourism and to protect its ecosystems. Most of the forests are everygreen forest mixed with coniferous and broad leaved forests. The main species are Phyllostachys var. pubescens (Mazel) Ohwi, Pinus massoniana and Loropetalum chinensis, and the relative frequency is 12 5%, 6 2% and 8 2% respectively. The Simposon index is 0.66. The climax community is shade demanding everygreen broad leaved forest. Taking into account both the characteristics of natural resource and geographic position, the park is identified as a suburban park, therefore, the management game adapting to a suburban park is to maintain ecosustainable eco tourism in the park.
