The influence of medium heterogeneity on the residual oil of reservoirs in the period of high water content and high dispersion
双高期油藏层内非均质对剩余油的影响及分析

Block J16 is a highly heterogeneous reservoir with thick oil layers. Based on seismic interpretation, meticulous study of rhythm has been carried out. An isochronous framework is established. Meticulous study on inner framework of monosandbody has been carried out. It objectively reveals that residual oil exits on the top of the anti-rhythm thick layer , mainly affected by the upper compartment, lower interlayer and gravity. The good results of potential wells at the top thick layer of production have been achieved in 2008. The results show that medium heterogeneity controls on the distribution of the residual oil in the mature field. This is of significant importance to tap the reservoir potential for EOR.
