Abstract:
The gentle slope of faulted basin is the favorable area for petroleum migration ,where the accumulation condition is advantageous. This paper present a case study on the Tiejianglu oilfield, adopting new geophysical techniques combined with analytic technologies in petroleum geological research, analysis accumulation characteristics and hydrocarbon distribution of lithostratigraphic reservoirs in the gentle slope of faulted basin. The result shows that the controlling factors for hydrocarbon accumulation consist of unconformity, lithological condition and structure. In the updip direction, single oil-bearing sandbody is controlled by the overlap-denudation pitching-out line of reservoirs and in the downdip direction,it is restricted within the boundary of oil-water interface. Multiple superimposed oil-bearing sands form the lithostratigraphic oil-gas accumulation zones. The oil and gas reservoirs are distributed in a series of cascade downward and stripped from lower location to high location of the structure transverse. Accordingly, an efficient strategy of exploration and development for reservoirs is summarized have been applied to the Tjiejianglu oilfieled with satisfactory results.
