Analyzing the databases of the National Fundamental Geographic Information System (NFGIS) of China, issues about establishing a common fundamental geographic information platform required for sustainable development information sharing, and about matching thematic data of sustainable development information with the data of common platform are discussed based on the data characteristics of the sustainable development information. The complexity for data integration is analyzed from the practical point of view and the resolvent is discussed as well.
