Abstract:

Investigations on variety resources of vegetables in Yunnan Province reveal that there are 34 species (including varieties,strains) of invaluable and scarce vegetables under 21 genera belonging to 12 families.Of which woody vegetables cover 3 species under 3 genera in 2 families,and herbaceous vegetables have 31 species under 19 genera in 11 families.This paper discusses the characteristics,distribution,present status of development and utilization,and existing problems of the above\|mentioned vegetables, suggestions on their future exploitation and utilization are put forward.
