Institutional Innovation on Sustainable Development of Grassland Resources in China--Building Green Economic System

Sustainable development of grassland resources, or grassland industry, has become an academic focus in the development of western China. However, a perfect institutional system that can convert academic discussion to practical use and perform this particular trade in the economic sphere is quite necessary. From the view poits of Western economics and new institutional economics, this paper discusses the economic essence for sustainable development of grassland resources, i.e., to realize optimum allocation of grassland resources, analyzes institutional causes of grassland eco environmental problems, proposes critical point related to institutional innovation for sustainable development of grassland resources, or development of grassland industry by building green economic institutions.
