INFORMATION MANAGEMENT AND REAL TIME OPERATION SCHEME OF WATER-SAVING IRRIGATION ON THE NORTH CHINA PLAIN

The major problems related to water-saving irrigation are that of irrigation techniques and scheme of scientific irrigation management. This paper constructs a framework of water-saving irrigation system, subsystem of water supply, subsystem of farmland water demand, dynamic subsystem of farmland moisture conditions and decision supporting system related to water-saving irrigation. It also describes the management information system of water-saving irrigation. Suggestions are made on objective function of optimal irrigation, boundary conditions and system solutions.
