IMPROVEMENT OF THE ELEMENT STIFFNESS MATRIX FOR PARTIAL COMPOSITE BEAM

Abstract:
With the homogeneous solution to the equilibrium equation for steel-concrete composite beams taken as the displacement function of the beam element with steel,concrete and elastic intermediate layer integrated together,the element stiffness matrix and equivalent node loads are obtained,without the hypothesis that the slip of the two ends of the element is zero.An effective and powerful tool is offered for analyzing the complicated structure of composite beams.
