Application of fractal theory in seismology
分形理论在地震学中的应用研究

Fractal theory is an important research field of modern nonlinear sciences,the idea and method of which have been widely used by many kinds of disciplines of natural sciences.Over the past twenty years,fractal science has prodigious development,and its use comes down to the natural and social research fields such as mathematics,physics,material science,geological exploration,stock prediction,computer science and information science,at the same time it gives great impetus to the development of seismology.In this paper we first review the developing process of fractal theory,in the following we give out a summary of applications of the above-mentioned fractal theory in seismology,at last we simply give out the prospect of the application of fractal theory in the development of seismology.
