ANALYSIS OF PRESENT STATE OF WATER RESOURCES AND ITS CHANGING TENDENCY FOR THE UPSTREAM OF DANJIANGKOU RESERVOIR
丹江口水库上游水资源现状及变化趋势分析

The middle route water transfer project diverts water from Danjiangkou reservoir to North China. The transferable water quantity depends on water resources of the upstream of the reservoir. The study mainly analyses the present state of water resources and their utilization. Meanwhile, water consumption in the year 2000 and 2020 is predicted by using index method, regression model and grey model. The changing tendency of the incoming water quantity flowing into Danjiangkou reservoir is examined. Results showed that the upstream of the reservoir is rich in water resources, the incoming water quantity flowing into Danjiangkou reservoir will not significantly drop due to industrial and agricultural development in the upstream. Thus, the reservoir has the capacity to provide water for North China.
