ESTIMATION OF VISCOSITY OF THE STRATUM ACCORDING TO THE OILFIELD LOGGING INFORMATION

Within engineering accuracy, the time for the casing external extrusion pressure reaching a stable value is related to the relaxation time of the stratum, and further to the viscosity of the stratum. An expression to estimate the viscosity of stratum using logging information is proposed. Applying this method, the order of magnitude of viscosity of stratum in west zone of Fuyu oilfield and Qian'an oilfield is estimated as $10^{17}$\,{Pa}$\cdot${s} and $10^{16}$\,{Pa}$\cdot${s}, respectively, as is consistent with the range of viscosity of stratum obtained by rock test and geophysical method.
