Global models of the Earth''s crust magnetic anomalies

The crust magnetic field,or lithospheric magnetic field,can be deduced by subtracting the main field,variation field and its induced counterpart from the total field.This field is essential to navigation,communication,geophysical exploration and many others.In this paper,the developments on data acquistion are briefly reviewed,including ground,marine,airborne,and satellite magnetic surveys,focusing on magnetic satellites,such as Oersted,CHAMP,etc.Global crust magnetic models are introduced.Finally,a brief prospect is given on future studies and applications of the crust magnetic models.
