Residual moveout correction and Poisson''s ratio inversion
|
Abstract:
The Poisson's ratio inversion formula is derived from Shuey reduced equation which stresses Poisson's ratio change. Residual moveout correction to seismic data will make the change trend of the amplitude versus offset (or incident angle) more obvious before Poisson's ratio inversion. It can improve the precision of inversion. Though the treatment to theory models and real data, this inversion method is proved practicable. Low Poisson's ratio anomalies can be predicted and natural gas can be found from inversion results.
